Does the Timed Climate Control feature also have a manual override feature.
I am hoping such a feature would make it possible to manually switch the heater on at o/s temperatures above 6 deg. and turn off when upto to temperature is senced.
Any help welcome.

Hi riverblanche,
Thanks for all the thread and link detail.
Would you know the "Wiki" link to the subject please.
Can't spot the actual question I have in the post, which mainly relate to errors or faults.
My question should be in the version (VEVO) instructions if only I had them, or may be I need a feature that doesn't exist!
Thanks again.

Hi,
DISCO 4 2013 Version VEVO.
I see in the Climate Control program, a Manual button is displayed.
Would anyone have the instructions for the use of this button?
Thanks in advance.
Ian.

That explanation should be in your LR D4 instruction manual…. Best regards

Thanks Harold, unfortunately the Owners Handbook mentions only Manual control but not what activity it enables.
As with the programable feature of the FBH, I suspect the Manual control will still only operate if the outside temperature is below 6deg.
Before I have the software upgraded I was looking for this confirmation, because I would like to be able to initiate th FBH at any temperature because of the vehicles short journey use!
If you have this feature perhaps you would be kind enough to explain the S/W button pushes to effect my requirements?
Best wishes,
Ian.

Hi Ian,
well i do not have a D4 myself, but do consider myself as a FBH specialist, as i did sell them proffesionally for more than 20 years...
so i can help with "universal"webasto features and technology
for SHORT journeys (less than approx 20 mls) i advice you to NOT use it as a parking heater...
they do use a significant amount of current if used on conjunction the fan....
on short jouneys the battery will not be recharged sufficiently for the next time and that can mean after only two cycles a non starter...(your car that is) so be warned...
if you use to start it with an Altox, you can at least monitor the battery voltage realtime and Altox can be configurerd the warn you if it goes below a certain voltage (a nice feature who also works if the FBH is not in use) Best regards
Harold

Thanks Harold, I think I have covered the points you raised.
All I would like to know is what exactly the Manual button in the touch screen does, and how the FBH responds.
At this rate I can see the bottom line will be to fit a 230v engine block heater!
Best wishes ,
Ian.
