£50 isj. Cheapest you can get. Simple wiring.
If you straighten out the coiled antenna inside the reciveer it gets better reach.
Do you have one fitted to your D3 and is this unit all your require, no more add on's to get for it to be up and running so to speak?

Saw a write up on the LRUK forum about someone who had done a cheap version, enabling the heater, then the fan and window/mirror demisters.
Another comment on that thread mentioned, just buying the remote relay, then connecting the 12v output feed from the relay, directly to Pin 3 of the heater. Obvious;ly, this would only fire up the FBH and nothing else. It was on a Freelander part of the forum.
Any ideas if this would work on a D4? Can't justify spending too much on a 'nice to have' at the moment.MY07 Freelander2 SE Santorini Black - Gone

The switches and controls used for the Freelander heater don't apply to the D3/4 ones.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Got the same receiver, connected to a 1533 timer (which make a w bus signal) bought it before I discovered this w bus box. But it will do the same thing. Only cheaper. Haven't used the timer function on the 1533 one single time, so could do without.

Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.
