We have just moved from a 2010MY Range Rover Vogue to a 2016MY Discovery 4. Growing kids and an ageing family meany we need some more space
On the Vogue, we had remote controls that would start the FBH and defrost the car before we needed to jump in. This was fantastic in the ice and snow.
We're still working our way through all the features on the Discovery, can anyone confirm if the FBH is standard on a Landmark spec 2016 car and whether I would be able to re-use the FBH remotes from the vogue?
Many thanks in advance,
Mark.

The FBH is a standard fit, you will need a receiver and aerial fitted and then it enabling in the cars CCF file, there are one or two site sponsors who can do this for you. I'm not 100% sure if the fobs from the RR are the same but one of the sponsors will be able to confirm Cheers Ian

Interested in this too. Is there a risk that dealer could re-flash s/w to remove your aftermarket remote activation facility? Also had remote on a 2011 RR VSE - was useful to use fob from the house. Figure I won't use the standard set-up on D4 Landmark as will never be sure what time to set it for, so remote would be useful.

There is a risk that a dealer would, but it's very unlikely. They would only spend their time doing so if you have some tricky issues that need a factory config rebuild.
In all my years of doing this, I've only had one dealer overwrite the settings for a BT retrofit I did. They paid for me to come out and reconfigure for the customer.
Remote is by far the most used feature unless you know when you are starting/leaving each day. Bodsys Brake Bible
