From: https://www.disco4.com/forum/timed-climate-remote-123137-15.html

Pairing the remote "is done by connecting the connector and after approximately 2 seconds of connecting but within 6 seconds, press the OFF button on the transmitter for at least 1 second. Alternatively, if you have it all connected up, you can do it by pulling the fuel burning heater fuse in the engine bay for at least 5 seconds and then after refitting the fuse, after 2 seconds but within 6 seconds, press the OFF button on the transmitter for at least 1 second."

Above thread is a good reference for fitting FBH remote. Be good if it could be made a sticky by admins Thumbs Up

FBH

Many thanks for the procedure all set up done.

But ahaha but when I press the on button, heater makes a fan noise but only runs for about 3/4 mins then stops and nothing.

I have had the gap tool on it and this fault was logged.

Any ideas please. Fuel tank is 3/4 full and it’s definitely below 6 degs.
Regards

Your coolant pump is either unplugged, faulty or the loom to it is damaged.

It's the 3 pin plug onto the FBH with 2 small wires.

Thanks for your reply Martin, any advice on how to check the loom and power there etc? How do I check if the coolant pump is faulty?
Does it just bolt onto the FBH or part of it?

Regards

Coolant pump is external to the FBH, attached on the side of the FBH mounting bracket.

It's the part on the cooling circuit after the little upside down "U" shaped coolant hose.

On a D4 there's a 2 pin plug on the pump and a 3 pin plug on the FBH. Check this loom for damage (or being unplugged) first.

Hi Martin,

I have tested the coolant pump and I cannot seem to get any life out of it.

I have tested the loom and that is fine.

When I clear the code and retry the FBH the code then reappears after you have started the FBH.

And the same code appears.

Regards

I did a continuity test on the loom from the FBH to the coolant pump.

And I put 12v to the coolant pump and couldn’t get anything from it.
