FBH remote restrictions
I have a D4 with timed climate. At long last I have got round to thinking about fitting the remote. However I wonder if the remote is capable of switching on the system irrespective of the water/weather temperature? In the early 1990's I had an early Discovery with a Webasto unit which could be switched on at any time. Particularly useful if sitting in traffic in cold weather. The FBH kept you warm without running the engine. Also useful when towing the caravan - meant you always started with a warm engine. Any views please?

As far as I know you can't. The logic is quite simple, if the temp is above x when activated it heats, if below x then it vents (fans no heating). I can't recall what the value of x is, 15 deg c springs to mind?
