Due to the lack of anything coming from my fbh, I reckon it's time to clean it out but I can't for the life of me work out how to get it out from the car!
I can get it loose by freeing the brackets that hold it down; I just can't seem to get it past the coolant bottle, and can't get my hands in far enough to take the coolant hoses off either.
Has anyone got a walkthrough of how to remove the unit?
Starting to get really cold up here so would love to get it working again soon. It seems to be locking out after the second attempt after clearing it. Last time my indy unlocked it; and I've had it running from the thermo test software but for some reason I now can't get my pc to talk to the fbh any more....

Recently removed mine to replace a faulty coolant sensor on the FHB. It will probably be the lower exhaust clamp catching as you try to lift it out. You can just about undo it from under neath, you'll need a torch and an offset 10mm ratchet to make it a little easier. A bit quicker that removing the inner wheel arch.
Something like these make getting the coolant pipes off easier.

Oh now THAT's a good idea!
Thanks, I'll take myself off to machine mart tomorrow...
Bizarrely though, after removing the #28 fuse for an hour or so, the fbh sparked into life about five mins or so after starting up and driving away... and with the low-fuel light on!
So I might just leave it where it is for the time being and just pull the fuse every evening... '06 D3 TDV6 S Cairns Blue
