FBH how strange is this
12:15 pm My FBH/timed climate just turned it's self on timers in the car were set to off and the remote key fob was hanging on a hook in the house. Pressing the remote OFf button on the fob didn't stop it, had to go out and start the car before it switched off. Anyone had this happen beforeOn a mission to find the perfect Pork Pie. Just Found it (I think)..(Yes I have)

We have one of the those remote light switches in the house. The sender unit can control up to 4 lights at one time......if my wife unlocks her car,it switches the upstairs light off .......I looked into this because if it works one way round, could it work the other way ?
I am not sure how sophisticated a code system the fob sender for the FHB uses, but I would be very surprised if it was as complex as the 40-bit rolling-code security a car remote uses.....my point being that maybe somebody used a device nearby which was operated on the same frequency ?"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

....Or their FBH.......
It messed with my head...changed the bulb 3 times before I just happened to be standing next to it one evening and heard the click as my wife unlocked her car....."Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

I did wonder about that, as we had some friends staying overnight in our caravan parked on the drive and the car was parked directly between it and the WiFi sender in the house plus they were on thier iPad at the same time On a mission to find the perfect Pork Pie. It would also explain why you couldn't switch it off with the fob....different frequency code for the on/off function.......unfortunately,by coincidence, the frequency that they unknowingly stumbled upon was the "on" freqeuncy.......
(I can't switch the light on using my wifes car keys, only off )
Just my theory, but it would certainly be one explanation.... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

If we switch our cooker hood extractor on or off in the kitchen, using its remote, the door bell plays a Westminster chime, and activating the cooker overhead light causes it to play a barking dog sound. Luckily, the door bell itself plays a different tune!
I also heard of a ruder story from the USA, concerning a gentleman with an implant in a certain part of his anatomy, and the neighbours garage door opener! I'll leave the details to your imagination, but I will say that it worked both ways, if you see what I mean!
