FBH Whats it doing?

Hi
New to D4 but had D 3 for 4 years and had no probs with fbh,
Went out in the 4 last night about 8 degrees only out for about 5 to 10 mins,
when i got bach the FBH was making a whirring noise after the engine was switched off
the FBH was not heating and the engine temp was normal.
Only had D4 for five days and only noticed it because it was quiet, went out about 1/2 an hour
later and it had stopped, is this normal Question

Yes normal operation. It has a vent operation at the end of every cycle to clear exhaust fumes within the unit.

The D4 operates at different temps than the D3 according to external temperature. Have you got the timed climate option? If so that heats upto 15 degrees and vents after 15 degrees.

My 2011 D4 has been coming on at 5 degrees. I was out last night with it 8 degrees at start and dropped to 6 degrees whilst driving but it didnt come on. 5 degrees seems to be the magic figure for mine.

Vented itself this morning after short trip but it was down to 4 deg i never heard it come on so it seems quieter than the D3 ( or the music was to loud Embarassed ). will have to keep an eye on it with the temps.
