Feedback on Stratstones of Cheltenham/Gloucester please |
|
Evening gents
I am having to work down in the (relatively) sunny south for a couple of weeks, during which time I will go through the 105k mile mark and will need to get the D3 serviced. I see that Stratstones are still advertising the £600 belts service and could make things 'work' by using their Cheltenham/Gloucester branch.
I'm aware that the company has a 'mixed' reputation on the forum, but reviews about the Cheltenham/Gloucester branch seem to be positive. However, the posts are. Relatively old.
Is anyone able to provide some more up to date feedback on their service dept please?
Many thanks in advance Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

Not disco 3 related, but I took my disco 2 in there earlier in the year with a leaking oil cooler pipe that was still under warranty.
Stratstones never fitted the pipe originally, but my local Indy did, but the Indy bought it from Stratstones and advised I took it there.
To say I was pessimistic was an understatement, but I took it in anyway. A few hours later I had a phone call from the service depot saying the car was ready.
When I got there and saw the service guy, he was very polite and said there was no charge for the labour or the new part and they had also fully valleted the car.
Very good service all round and everyone I spoke to was very polite and courteous. They even had a door opener!

Many thanks TCR
I have hesitantly booked the old girl in for next week - the 105k service (quoted at £639 with all LR parts) plus what I suspect may be a wheel bearing/hub and the inevitable brakes etc.
Thus far they have been very helpful and professional as per your experience, but I guess that also means it can only go downhill from here!? Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE
