First service.

Disco went in for its first years service 16,350 miles, rear pads 85% worn front 80% worn F Censored I know its a heavy car but new pads every year Big Cry Stealers to change rear £233 front £350 - they must be proud of the work they do. Got them to change rear but getting a indi to change front £120 inc parts Thumbs Up don't know if thats good/bad/indifferent but still £230 better than LR.

My rear pads lasted 35k, and fronts are a little over half worn in the last 25k

Sounds like they are fishing for work. I would be asking to see the old pads Whistle

We do a lot of towing +/- 3mt, the trailer has been serviced and all 6 brakes are meant to be working. We were emailed a video of the health check from LR - all part of the massive bill Laughing when I stick the car in to get the fronts changed I will have a better handle on the wear - was going to do it my self but its a heavy car and there has been a few close calls documented on this forum.

Ferodo are OEM, but Delphi are a decent substitute, and a few quid cheaper. These are the only front pads I would use myself for D4 Thumbs Up

If that is the correct part, at £47.46 for 4 pads, that's an astounding difference! Shocked

I have borg and beck on mine, work just fine. Does seem a bit soon though, my initial set lasted 37K miles and if they'd been cleaned a bit more would have lasted longer

I had a look at the pads on the front, they looked okay - IMO. Working in Singapore for the next 2 weeks so when home I will put my new Milwaukee M18 Fuel to its first task (thank you disco_mikey) for the recommendation, take the wheels off and compare new/old pads.

Well changed my front pads this morning, doddle of a job, steelers wanted £350 for less than an hours work for me that must be less than 30mins on a ramp. Old pads had +/- 6mm friction material left, how low would you go? I don't like waiting on the warning light to tell me the pads are F Censored
