First week away
Last week was our first week away with the Discovery 4, having had Land Rover's of one form or another for the last 40 years we looked at other makes ie Kia, volvo, Hyundai etc but na there is only one for us a Disco 4 HSE, so the search was on, after looking at some right sheds we found it a 61 plate HSE SDV6 with the 8 speed auto with full main dealer service history, we did a deal on our Freelander 2 SD4 HSE which towed the caravan good but not like a Disco does, I have had series 2,3 Landy's, Defender's, Disco 200, 300's, Td5 x2, Disco 3 and 2 Freelander 2's, the Disco 3 was a 55 plate GS which I got spot on after loads of headache with problems ie had to fit a new turbo, all suspension arms, new clutch and flywheel etc all the usual stuff then we down sized our caravan to a single axle so thought a Freelander 2 was the way to go, then while on a weekend away onto the site came a Disco 4 and that was it, just started looking at them on a auction site at first, then wife saw me looking and said (I dont know why you dont go back to a Discovery you will never be happy with the Freelander) that was it had to have one.
This was us last weekend with our 2017 Elddis Crusader Aurora, changing it next year for a new twin axle one Elddis Crusader Zephyr unless they bring another model out we like better.
Looks good mate
Same here Landrovers's for years in one form or another
We pick up our new to us Swift challenger in the morning
Pictures will be on my original post about my new ish van

Nice on Phil I bet you cant wait, make sure you give the new van a good check over before you take it, this is our second one the first one was rejected so many faults with it it was disgusting, our 2013 Bailey Unicorn that we traded in was in better condition, you would not believe the condition of a brand new van, scraches on wall panels, big scratch down fridge door, both rear road lights hanging out and to top it all it had rained the night before and the front windows where leaking i am talking running down the inside wall, salesman said we will sort that! dont think so.Serbian Silver 2011 Discovery 4 HSE SDV6 8 speed auto
Cheers bud
I have a 90 min handover with the salesman chap
Fortunately I know how these get put together as I've worked with a few joiners that work the Van factories
I actually know the QA manger at Swift . As I'm a construction manager he used to work for me before he left to join them last year
He won't know what's hit him after I've snagged it
It's not brand new and I've already had a good poke around and only found a couple of minor issues
