MOT tomorrow so booked it in to local independent today.
Got a call at 9am to say there is no communication to the module, however there is a TSB for this problem - £100. They did say if that didn't work, it would be a module.
Rang up 30 mins ago as hadn't heard anything from the 1st call this morning - update has bricked the car, it thinks its crashed and it wont start! New £500 ECU on order with the hope that fixes is, plus labour fitting it.

You need the boards fitting. BBS are by far the best solution and he spent a huge amount of time getting everything right.
They control fast forward / next track / volume up / volume down etc. Also all the lcd screen settings on the dashboard LCD. Essentially replaces the functions of the rectangular buttons on the D3 wheel. I have a set of switch packs with heated steering wheel switch for sale in the forum but they need the boards adding if you want them in the D3.
Best upgrade I ever did from a drivers point of view. So much better than the D3 wheel.D3 - 2008.5MY HSE, Stornaway Grey, RSE etc - all the toys
