Fitting a 2nd battery.
I have a LHD 2010 D4 and would like to fit a 2nd battery. Are there any places in the vehicle reserved for this already, or can I just squeeze it in anywhere. It will mainly just be used for running a fridge and some USB outlets.

If you do a search on here it will show up many possibilities Some fit the battery under the bonnet (does involve moving a few things very slightly) drivers side on a right hand drive car) or others fit them in/behind the boot side panels...I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Did a search, but only found topics ref low battery voltage or similar.
Yes, I was thinking behind the rear side panel in the boot.

I know its not what you are looking for, but there's no wiring, no inverters and no faffing.
I went for one of these....
It does 240v 24v 12v USB USB fast charge & USBc 100w
Recharges in an hour runs a hoover, charges everything, can charge from the cars 12v whilst travelling and even solar.
Takes up less space and can be used camping/ off grid or even as emergency supply at home!
cool bit of kit.
bit more than a leisure battery yes but the uses are endless!
I went with the mini as that's all I could afford and it sits in the gap between the middle seats and the floor.
A mod a week until I have nothing to improve or add.

I have one of those and the solar panels that recharge it in about 6/7 hours of decent sun.
It is excellent.
It will boil a full 1800W travel kettle from cold about 10 times before it needs recharging.
I went with that over a spare battery but it was an expensive bit of kit but it is very good indeed.
You can charge it via a 12v socket as you drive the car too, that's a little quicker than full sun and the solar panels but not much...
Really good bit of kit..Jim

I recently found out I don't have a 12v socket in the boot, just a hole and cover where it should be.

1800w kettle ! You must have the delta? I only have the mini so nothing bigger than a hoover…. Mains 240 charges in a hour! Most of all the other makes take 6 hours to charge on mains whereas this can do that on my 120w solar panel.
I see there is a summer sale on now! Just my luck A mod a week until I have nothing to improve or add.

I'd like to make it clear to the jury that I had absolutely no intention of buying an Ecoflow until I saw this post......
So yeah, mine arrived today, complete with 160W solar panel. I went with the River Pro and will probably add the extra battery in due course.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
