Ireland 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Auto Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3

Here's mine, fitted to a base model (i.e. no on-board LR sat nav):

PC with sat nav, music and wireless network (touch screen of course);
Nokia car kit display (Bluetooth connection to phone, control is on plate behind parking brake);
2m/70cm ham radio transceiver;
Sat nav (to the rght of the steering wheel).

All fixings are non-damaging, i.e. if I took it all out you'd see no holes.

Rgds

Andy.

Hello,

I have been looking around in the forum but I could not find what I was looking for.

The discussion is the closest one... (I hope I am not wrong on this one)

I bought on ebay one of those "kit Bracket". In would like to feet my SatNav on it.

D3Matt had a picture of what I would like to do; (The one on the left of the radio)

with?

In order to install the bracket, I would like to know how I can remove the central radio.

If someone can explain me (with pictures if possible) that will be great.

To remove the plastic cover around the radio/console, just pull hard
Then you'll see some screws that hold the radio etc

Pull from the bottom rear corners and pull towards you (i.e. towards the gear shift). It is very stiff the first time....said the Vicar.

Thanks Matt,

I suppose it will be easy to put it back in after.
Is it doublefaced tape or little clip?

Its all held in place by clips. Just pull it out like this....

Clips are at the bottom only, so pull (very hard) at the bottom and pull towards the gear lever.
The top is held in place by just hooks.

When you pull the surround off you instal the bracket like this .

If its the correct bracket you should not have to cut or file any thing..then pop the surround back on

or use a Brodit brackets. I've found they fit better than the dashmounts.
