Fitting Rubber Mats

Yes I know probably a dumb question but ...

I bought the standard rubber mat set today and I'm trying to figure out how to install them. The instructions are vague about using tape to cover the area where you would use a bradal to piece the carpet in order to lock down the mats. I wanted to know what tape I should use ?

Sellotape, double sided, masking or some other tape, in anyone has had them installed by a dealer it would be great to know what you are meant to use

Also should I leave the tape in place once installed ?

btw - I just picked up my new Disco TDV6 yesterday and registered for this site!

Masking tape and remove it once the floor connector has been started. Although saying that I just offered it up and used the bradle and stuck it into the floor without tape. Works just the same. Once you get the first one in the rest is a doddle, as you know what to do.

This took me about 20-25mins, but 10mins of that was cursing at the instructions. Quality fit though. Pretty impressed. I also got the rear cargo rubber protector at the same time.
