Fitting security cable in load area

Hi

I want to fit a security cable in the load area of my D3. The metal baseplate requires screwing to something substantial (i.e. metal) with self tapping security screws. Before I drill through hidden pipes/cables has anyone got any location suggestions?

The metal base has a circumference of 10cm and is secured by 4 screws.

Thanks

I'd have thought that near to the spare wheel winder would be a good place as you know you only have the spare wheel underneath. Thumbs Up

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't think I'll be able to get the cable through when the 3rd row seats are folded down. I'll check it though. I was thinking more of the side panels so it's out of the way when not in use.

Thanks I'll do that. The only thing that worries me is if there are any cables or pipes on the other side. I might scope out some likely spots and check with the main dealer before I drill anything.

I've looked at the pics and I think I might have found the ideal spot! As long as there isn't anything lurking behind it when I check!

Thanks for your help Bodsy.
