The guy in the car was obviously not just uncaring - he sat there for ages rather than just driving straight away. The dog looks to have wanted to go with him - wagging tail etc. Sad all round really. At least he wasn't one of those that throw the dog out on the motorway without stopping!
I'm no fan of the RSPCA as I feel they spend too much on politics and big ticket cases. We have rehomed from Dog's Trust in the past and it was straight forward. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

I can’t speak for you but, if I were in a position where a significant part of a hobby of mine had been outlawed and if it were desperately important to me, the most effective gorilla tactic might be to work towards discrediting the motives and questioning the charitable status of the organisation that was paying for the legal costs to attempt to enforce the law against me.
But then, if you’re hunting within the law, then there shouldn’t be a problem 👍 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Going back to the original post, I’d like this guy tracked down as it could be that this dog has been replaced by a new Christmas puppy. It’s a reason for this disgusting activity around this time
If that turns out to be the case, the puppy desperately needs to be confiscated and he should be banned from keeping animals. 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

It was about sticking it to "rich nobs on horses". Class war etc.
People who love animals and want animal rights don't attack horses and hounds...
And, no, I don't hunt foxes before you ask / assume. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Oddly, I’ve never seen any text in the legislation referring to “rich nobs on horses” and it would appear that anyone who wants to can still dress up and go for a ride in the country if they want to. 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

It doesn't have to be written down to see it.
It's funny really, our town local Facebook page has had a massive thread about the local hunt today and almost every anti reply refers to snobs, toffs, hooray Henrys.
I'd say for a huge amount of antis it's as much about "sticking it to the man" and people they perceive to be better than them as it is about saving the bushy tailed terrors from a good old bit of sport!!

I have no love for the rspca... For reasons above and some others including how they do their business.
This story is sad, you have to feel for the dog, they aren't objects. Mike

The obscene amount of money paid to its top staff is enough for me to have no respect for the RSPCA. Especially when they put adverts on tv trying to get vulnerable people to donate to them.

Obscene?
Take a look at the top 100 charities and salaries ...RSPCA doesn't even feature

Quote:One of the more surprising elements is the number of well-known household charities that have not made this year's top 100. Oxfam, which has an income of almost £415m, paid its highest earner between £120,000 and £129,000, so came 126th in the list. Other well-known charities, including the RSPCA, Unicef UK, WaterAid and WWF-UK, don't feature in the top 100 because they paid less than £140,000.

Stretching it a bit by including CITB, City and Guilds and the IET in with charities. They're professional bodies 2014 D4 XS

3 out of 100 ?
The charity commission seemingly had an issue about a one off payment.
We all know why Tory MP's and country folk don't like them though eh
