Thanks. I'd like to be able to fix it in a day to save driving round with the liner out.
Thanks for the help.

Hi
Would take u around 3 x hours max to get the job done
Know the fuel pipe was an odd size , pretty sure it was 5mm
I was replacing my front struts so had the wheel off, found it easier removing the liner with the wheel off,
From what I could see , The fuel line runs from the fuel filter on the drivers side , along the chassis to the front , then along by the rad, over the passengers side chassis rail and then up to the FBH
The connector is tucked away behind the struts metal support frame, secured there by clips
Fuel was leaking from this connector and running down the pipe then dripping onto the front sump plate
Hope that helps and plse let us know how things go

Well I took the wheel arch liner partially out to gain access to the fuel pipe behind the front nearside wheel and it wasn't connected.
It seems the two pieces have either come adrift of their own accord or they've been disconnected at some point by the previous owner and not put back togehter when reassembling.
I pushed the two pipes together and they seem to have held. there is a small bit of plastic that slides up and down the metal pipe which rests ontop of the join. Not knowing how it's meant to be, can anyone shed some light on whether the connection is broken or is that how it's meant to be and the plastic bit is like a dust cover?
Not leaking any more and the fuel burning heater fired up (after one failed start) and ran for 20 mins approx before shutting itself down.
