Floating ship
Seen off the coast of Margate this morning! Can someone explain how this happens in hot weather!

if the ship was empty it would be full of air (hot air on a day like today), and as air is lighter than water the ship floats up

Sea in the foreground is shallow, sea further out is deeper, hence different colours.
Iirc sandy shallows runs out for quite some way.
Car carrier ships run to/from Sheerness docks, or poss further up the Thames

I promise it is not photoshopped. Freaking a few people out along the beach. I think it’s something to do with the hot weather and refraction but thought all you clever clogs would know straight away😂 I mean helium and hot air
