I can't find if this has been asked before.... but I have a problem with the offside mirror. When I try to lock the car, or fold the mirror in manually, it only moves a tiny amount, in fact, hardly at all. The nearside one works perfectly. I can hear the motor working and it moves a bit - so I'm wondering...
Is there some sort of reset sequence like you have with the sunroof or auto windows on the D4?
I can't find one and it's winding me up now. Thank you.

Try pushing the mirror all the way towards the front of the car, takes a shove to get it past the last stop. Squirt some lube in to the exposed swivel and see what happens when you lock the car from that position.

push it all the way out beyond its normal driving position and give it a spray of lubricating oil.
hand the same problem on my old D4 and that solved it Duncan

Thanks Dexter & DiscoDunc... that seems to have done the trick.
Now working like new again.
