Folding wing Mirrors when Locking

Just picked car up from dealers where they were going to try and stop the wing mirrors folding when locking.

Seems like it cant be done. Dealer techy got on to LR techy and said its not an option of the puter.

I explained the problem when locking and having towing mirrors attached - ie they fold in and can damage the door... so they are going to raise a improvement request jobby.... I cant remember what he called it Embarassed , but hopefully LR are already aware or may be looked at in the near future.

You might loose heating and adjustment as well but not having a facelifted D3 (some call them D4s) so can't play. How's it damaging the body?? Shocked Shocked

Fuse 32P (driver door) and 30P (Passenger) in the CJB.
You'll lose all mirror functions - adjust, fold, heating and approach light.

If it were mine, and it was really such a problem, I'd find the control module in the door or take out the mirror assembly and disconnect the offending wire. It's brown, if that helps at all.

too kind, I was going to be my usual helpful self and say RTFM !!!

If it's just when towing pull the fuses !! Or cut the wire and add a switch to the circuit somewhere on the door card...

Don't know what came over me, suddenly being all helpful like that.

Normal service will resume immediately.

RTFM.

not practical really is it Rolling Eyes I'll loose central locking and electric windows as well.

I'll just wait until they release an upgrade...

Just cut the brown wire. Or was it red. No, blue. Definitely blue.
