Footwell courtesy lights also on while driving

Good afternoon
yesterday on my 2006 discovery 3 I installed the footwell courtesy lights using the original wiring already present on my car. But now I would like to make sure that these lights stay on even while driving, like the ambient lights that almost all cars are fitting.
Does anyone know how? Question Question

Hi

Hope u don’t mind me saying , But wonder if that would be detrimental having them on all the time to ur nighttime vision whilst driving , maybe changing them with red leds

Alas can think of a way but also wondering if u would have to inform ur insurance company by this modification

Once again hope it doesn’t come across as rude in any way

On cars that have ambient lighting for the footwells that stay on when driving they normally dim them to around 40% intensity so they don't end up being too intrusive.

Powerful sell some dual brightness ones, but they probably aren’t gonna help you on a D3

Dunno if they fit yours or work.

Like the others have said, seems like a bad idea, BUT to answer your question:

You can always get switched power from one of the power plugs in the center console and run it to the positive side of the light.

OR...... you could also pull power from connector to the little blue light ring around the cigarette lighter. That one is tied to the panel lights and can be dimmed.

Hope that helps.

I made a dual-mode illumination of the footwell. When the doors are closed, the lighting is weak, when opened, it is bright. I made new LED lamps.

The external LEDs are connected to the standard illumination, and the internal ones to the interior illumination
