I am looking to sell something to a forum member in Italy who wants to arrange his own pickup, How do we ensure both are covered under some type of guarente - both that I will send the item and that they then dont dispute it?
Seems that;
if we do a gift payment then the buyer has no come back
if we do goods and the buyer arranges own shipment I have no come back

Get whoever the buyer is getting to pick the item up to pay you in cash at time of collection. The same as if the actual buyer was picking it up. MY14 TDV6

As an international buyer myself this is how I’ve done it:
- I’ve tended to buy from people who have been members for a long time and have a lot of posts.
- I haven’t used a 3rd party for pickup but let the seller use whatever is easiest with them (so Royal Mail..), had tracking. Haven’t bothered with insurance, everything has been less than 300 EUR/GBP
- used PayPal with gifting (yes, this is frowned on but it’s my money and I feel I’m qualified to evaluate and manage this risk)
- items have always turned up as described and it’s been effortless for me and (I hope) the seller
I think, if I were to buy 5 wheels I’d use bigdave since he had very competitive pricing.
Edit: I’ve always paid for the item(s) and shipping in full before shipping so in reality the risk has always been on my side of the transaction

As above I’ve always paid in full in advance for items bought here.
