I got the loan of a mountain bike similar to that recently. Holy it was unbelievable!!
I was told the one I had was approx €8.5k new. I did about 40km on it and the battery was still 3/4 full.

Electric is the way to go!! I was able to do 40km on that electric bike at my ease and could probably have done another 40km where as on an ordinary bike I’d have struggled to do 20 or 30km. I know I’m not fit especially compared to my brother who did the London- Edinburgh- London cycle during the summer.

Sally and I regularly ride up to 40 miles on our pedelecs. Regularly out on the trails for breakfast/brunch. 3 weeks ago I did 100 miles on mine. Cream crackered, having to battery manage throughout. It’s not much fun cycling a 28kg bike with no assistance 😂. We’ve just been down to Devon with the bikes. 34 miles one day around the Exe Estuary. The next day 50 miles along the Tarka Trail. Holidayed this year cycling from Czech Republic into Germany, 180 miles in a week. We love it. Had the pedelecs 2 years now and wish we’d bought them years before. Sal says she thinks she’s fitter now that she’s ever been! Not bad for retirees. 😄
