French air quality certificate

I was checking that the Liber T tag was going to work when we travel down to the alps in July. I noticed a warning on their website regarding the requirement for an air quality certificate for Tonka relating to using the car in Lyon & Grenoble.
My query is whether I would need such a certificate if travelling on the A43 (around and through) these cities? I really don't plan in going into either city tbh.
Anyone else have a 2005 Disco 3 and what was your experience regarding the certificate.
Thanks,
Duncan

Only required in Paris, Lyon & Grenoble at the moment more towns & cities to be added, it only costs about £4 not worth the fine if you accidentally take wrong turning

From reading on another forum the A43 passes through the air quality zone and therefore you need a certificate.
As Womble says it's only £4.00 and not worth the fine.
