Fridge Slide on 3rd Row Seats? And Aux Battery in Brisbane?

I found this topic on Fridge slides but they are all on drawer systems

http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic21267.html

I'm trying to think of a way to secure an Engel slide directly to the back of the 3rd row seats (obviously when folded flat!).

Has anyone tried this already? I was wondering if perhaps I could try some sort of clamp to go around the hard board part of the seat rather than drilling into it (and possibly out through the leather on the other side....)

Also I'd like to get the Traxide/Optima set up put in the D3 - anyone know a good Auto Electrician in Brisbane who is Disco friendly?

Hi, I have a 70 L trailblazer Fridge that I can mount in the back on a fridge slider. I bought the slider from ARB (think it is a black widow or similar) I have it mounted on the left side of the vehicle as that is where my Aux power comes out from the Optima battery. I built the frame for the slider myself using 2 pieces of pine timber . I have been able to fit it so that if necessary the R rear seat can still be used. I have used the 2 tie down lugs on the left side as anchor points to put a bolt through the timber frame, and then I made an additional tie down point in the centre point forward (behind the centre of the middle back seat) . So the slider frame is supported & held in 3 places. I was originally concerned that I couldn't fix it in the centre at the rear of the vehicle but I havn't had any problem with it being fixed in 3 places. The timber frame under the slider lifts it up about 50 mm which enables the slider to fit over the plastic moulding on the left corner near the tailgate & lets you fit the fridge close enough to the Left side to be able to use the other Back boot seat if required.
sorry but I don't have any pics of my set up at the moment.
Hope this gives you at least one other way.

The traxide kits come with good instructions and are all precut and measured. It is an absolute cinch to install. Source yourself the right battery and everything fits easy, There is a little grommet on the firewall ready to take to power from it then just run it along under the sill. to the back where you want it.
