Front Differential Service Action MY05?

The dealer that supplied my D3 has changed hands again resulting in a "courtesy" call from the sales department yesterday and a call from the service department today.

Today's call was on the excuse that "our records show that your car is due for a service", as given by the same outfit on May 30th when they phoned me as I left another dealer having had suspension compressor problems investigated.
Challenged as why they thought a service was due they suggested that the MOT was due 18th Sept. Strange as the car was supplied in Jan 2005.
I suggested that I would be happier if they had phoned me when upgrade actions were required rather than when they were short of work and this lead to an enquiry about what upgrades had been done. I listed suspension valve change, software "upgrade" and replacement of suspension compressor.

Now, at last, to the point It was suggested that there is a no charge service action on the front differential.

I have asked for written details of the work to be done on my vehicle.
Nothing relating to the front differential was advised as outstanding in May
I have searched the forum and particularly read the topic started by Ollram on 19 Nov 2007.

Is anyone aware of any service action either recent or from long ago or is this just an excuse for getting my vehicle in to find chargeable work?
Ollrams topic details failures and replacement of differentials but not, I think, a general action.

I'll post in the event that a written explanation arrives and in the meantime thanks to NIck for your help in the past and to Andrew for arranging the Factory tour.
