Front lower ball joint replacement

I've had a read through Disco-Mikey's execelent review of the replacement proceedure, however I have a few questions;

Removing the driveshaft hub: does this just 'pop' backwards after a hefty hit with a hammer and drift?
Is it possible to get hold of the Land over 'special' tools mentioned in this post?
Where and how did you tie up the brake caliper assembley?

Thanks

The driveshaft may be quite tight to remove from the hub. Big brass drift and a bigger hammer, or a punch in the centre part of the shaft works well

If you are friendly with the dealer/technician/anyone that works there, it is possible to borrow the tools Whistle

Either a cable tie, or a length of brake pipe through the carrier bolt holes and around the upper susp. arm will hold the caliper out the way
