Front lower wishbone replacement cost

Hi
Just after an opinion or two really...
I bought replacement front lower wishbones from site sponsor AF - very quick service and four year warranty for £250. That seems a good price to me for the pair complete with a bolt kit.

I was going to do the job myself but decided to get it done by a garage. I used Corby Tyres (in Corby!) and they did the job in about 5 hours including a Hunter four wheel alignment for £350.

So the total cost was £600 to have both front lowers done. Does that seem a good deal? Obviously if I had done it myself I’d have saved about £200 but would still have to have had the four wheel alignment check which would have been about £120

What are your views on the cost to get it done?

Thanks
Jon

I paid circa smidge under £550 I think for the same parts and fitting plus wheel alignment. So that’s not far off.

Ok well it seems it’s in the right ball park then.

I have to say, the difference in driving it is amazing! It feels so much more precise and less wallowy, and there no clunk over bumps anymore! Well worth the money!

I did mine a fortnight ago, £300 from AF (Poly bush kit and bolts) and 3 hours (mostly cutting the back bolts out of both). The Hunter alignment at AW repair body shop was £59 inc VAT which surprised me as they charged me £69 last year.
