Front wheel studs..do I need to buy the entire hub?

Hello

One of my wheel bolts snapped off yesterday so going to drill it out today.

Was on the phone to lr parts to order some wheel studs (that go into the hub)

They advise me they only sell the entire hub

Can you buy seperate wheel studs ? You know the stud that goes thru the hub that the wheel bolt goes onto.
Bit confused as thought this would be an easy request

Cheers

You need an old hub bearing, or if there is a breakers yard near you get one from them, I used to have a few spares but used them all now.

I've got one you can have, I removed them from my old hob when I swapped. Send me your address and make a donation to a charity, any amount any charity, and I'll post it over.

Bit late now but you need to punch them out. They are splined.
The splines stop the stud rotating when the wheel nut is tightened. If the splines are damaged you will need a replacement hub which comes with an integral bearing. Cheap hubs from eBay have a reputation of short lives. OEM hubs are Timken. They are expensive but some suppliers are perhaps £100 cheaper than others. Acceptable alternatives may be available from AF.

You can buy new splined studs on line but you would need to be 100% confident that you were getting the right size.
A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.
