My front wishbone asssemblies are stuffed snd LR have
quoted me $1100. The wishbones are $282 each.
Should i do it myself or get a mechanic to do it?

Its easy enough to remove but you will need to set up the suspension again

I would order some more of the bolts aswell as when removing mine the thread got damaged removing the nut and the dealer had them in stock as this is a problem they have

They are only a couple of £'s

I assume you mean the lower control arms? Make sure you get the new part number. Check with TLO.

Chances are the rear bolts will have seized solid inside the bush, and will need cut out to enable to arm to be removed. Not a fun job Big Cry

I was diagnosed with this problem by my LR specialist today (as he was unable to do a wheel alignement for me).
How to tell? When the wheel is unloaded, you will find that you can move the rear of the control arm left and right, which indicates stuffed bushes. Undesirable when you consider the same thing is happening under accelaration/braking, plus god knows what is ahppening to the alignment!

Have you checked it over yourself? Sounds like track arms and/or lower steering coloumn
