| Fuel Cap Loose or Missing? |

Hello folks,
I have a 2006 LR3 SE (4.0 V6) with 63000km on the odometer. I got the "Fuel cap loose or missing" message after taking the fuel cap off and replacing it at the gas station without putting any fuel into the tank (the pump was out of order). Message has remained even after putting fuel into the tank. Two questions:
Any thoughts on the source of the persistance of the message?
Is there a way to clear the message without going into the dealer? (I have been in twice over the past two weeks for tie rod ends and a failed compressor.)
