Fuel consumption and gauge
Hi all,
2010 XS D4, new to me running well (so far) but as it was showing 1/2 tank I thought I would top up before fuel goes even higher than it is at present, anyhow filled up, didn’t take as much as I thought it would, the fuel gauge is showing only 3/4 also showing 300 miles to empty, fuel consumption 20 mpg but the instant read out says 30 mpg, I did check but only found threads on fuel gauge showing empty, any help appreciated.Discovery 3 SE gone but not forgotten.

Hi all
Solved the problem, I normally fuel in the evening and it could be difficult and slow to fuel, today in daylight I noticed something in the neck of the filler (see photos) the previous owner must have tried to fuel with petrol and the missfuel device kicked in, reset and all is well, no fool like an old fool 😄
