Fuel filter confusion.

Thought I would change my fuel filter today. Bought filter from local factors from registration number details submitted to them. My disco is supposed to be an 06MY. TDV6

Took off the under engine gaurd ( easy because I had recently done oil and filter change and greased the threads before refitting) Where's the filter then. Wasn't as shown in Brookfield moors excellent posting. I'm looking for a cylindrical canister with 4 pipes on the top... No not there!!!! all I can see is what looks like a sardine can with connectors on one of the flat surfaces. Is this the filter, hardly looks big enough. If this is the filter I cant remember seeing a drain off screw .
Any advice please.

It's a bit further back, take the next under tray back, off, and all will become clear. Wink

The sardine can thing is the fuel cooler, as said the fuel filter is behind that to the rear of the car about 6" away.

Make sure you take of anf replace the pipes on the filter in the correct possision.

Thanks for pointing me in right direction. Was quite an easy job, could have done with two wrists on my left hand to remove the connectors mind. Ignition on and off half dozen times whilst depressing 'tyre' valve at back of engine,, not much air was expelled so its possible I suppose that just switching the ignition on and off 4or 5 times at 16 second intervals without depressing the valve would work. Starts and runs fine.

Next job anti roll bar bushes!!!!!!
