Wobbly, I have a 2010 D4 with a sudden gauge problem, can you explain where the top hat is on the tank please.? Does the tank need removing, etc? Thanks

I have just had the dreaded fuel gauge fault on my D4 my10. It went from nearly half full to suddenly empty, with no apparent leak. Just wondering what to do next as I have no extended warranty.

Had an email back from customer relations saying there would likely be some good will from Land Rover but they have not said how much of the bill the good will would cover. Anyone had experience of good will from Land Rover?

Decided not to go for the good will gesture. Fixed the fault with help from my brother. Had to drop the tank down go into the tamk and found one of the wires to the sender unit not making contact. So we gave the wire a squeeze, checked it with volt meter now gauge working as before. Heres a couple of photos
