Fuel Leak Contamination

Sad I have suffered a significant diesel fuel leak whilst travelling due to an issue with the fuel filter.

Losing over half a tank of diesel that has thoroughly covered the underside of the vehicle as well as spraying the entire backend paintwork and glass.

I would be grateful for any pointers on what parts or areas need to be considered for replacement due to potential risk of contamination from the diesel, that could lead to future issues or early failure.

For example I was thinking that the brake pads are likely to be contaminated. Any other thoughts or pointers appreciated.

Brake pads should be obvious by examination ... your problems will be where damage is done over time I reckon.

Yes, the longer term is my current concern.

Get it steam cleaned and forget about it . It wont have done any long term damage if you get it off now.
