Quote:Traffic officers are expected to show a return for their days work - that equals tickets and books - yes?
See now I would imagine all cops have to show they are doing their job, every aspect of it. Hey look if you want to go out and prove me wrong by trying out your theory that's up to you
I'll still sleep at night .. I have Horlicks
*edit* for my next debate I shall be telling deep sea drillers what their safety procedures are and what they will do in any given situation
*edit 2* if you're a deep sea drilling engineer please don't bite me I'm only kidding hehe

You popped up not me.
I am not trying to prove anything as I know I'm right.
You' re just trying to prove me wrong and all you're doing is being trying!
Anyway I'm at work now in one of London's finest police stations. Must dash.

lol yeah and how many cars manage to do 100mph in London Streets?
But then again the motorways yep 100mph would be easy and they are Traffic domain and as you said yourself they'll do you....
Plus if uniform take a gun out then they are on an op so they are going to do you ...
and if they let you off at 100mph well lets just say that's questionable, because that's not discretion thats avoiding work
Quote:Anyway I'm at work now in one of London's finest police stations. Must dash.
And if that's true, then how proud you must be telling people it's ok there's every chance you won't lose your licence. Check your job description again. Then again if that were true does the taxpayer know your sitting on the internet?

lol nah I don't get angry at discussions , but then again I don't use the words "I know I'm right", try to validate my point by saying "I'm at work now in one of London's finest police stations" Cause that's either true and in which case really poor from a job credibility point of view or it's not which effects the whole validity of your point.
That's like saying I know the prime minister to validate your point in a debate on world afairs .. it either stands on it's own or it doesn't. And it doesn't
if you meant this edit Quote:*edit 2* if you're a deep sea drilling engineer please don't bite me I'm only kidding hehe
That wasn't directed at you it was directed at anyone who may work in the oil industry (who may be reading this), it's called a joke

how fast can a discovery go |
|
Hi All
interesting posts thought this might be of interest if you search for discovery 3 Nurburgring on YOU TUBE you will see just how fast the D3 is. I think it might be a V8 as its bloody quick for 2.5 tons and being driven really well, proving its not the speed that causes accidents its the drivers inability to drive at those speeds that causes accidents
cheers
