| funny noise, Engine and compressor |

I have put a few vids on youtube. Im having a few issues with the revs being unsettled on cold start up. Also the noise of the engine on cold start. the engine noise is not so clear on the vid, sorry
this is the rev counter one I held my foot on the accelerator at 2k but watch it go up and down on its own.

Im not so sure this is right but is it a common fault. the car goes up and down although its not very smooth
Any help guys would be great. It does have a warranty but its not LR, its one I have paid for after. I want to sort all these probs before it ends.

The compressor cover cleaning is definately advisable. I did mine last weekend and the noise stopped straight away. DiscoDunc has written some great instructions on how to do it. D3 HSE MY05 Auto

I'll do the cleaning of the compressor cover this wkend to see if that cures it, it was doing the noise before the vold weather but I hope it is the fix for this. cheers guys I'ts good to find people in the know Current: D3 commercial

My compressor is really noisy at the minute when we're having these cold temps - guessing it must just be some frozen water in there and needs a good clean as it's absolutely fine in the warm or after the car has run a bit. That'll be a bit of fun for the weekend then
