Funny thing about ironing, I do my own because SWMBO is rubbish at it. These days I wear stuff that needs little or no ironing but when needed I can do a bloody good job with the iron.
I think it might have helped that my dad, who was in the RAF for nearly 30 years, taught me how to iron shirts properly. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Anyone else have an “ironing pile”
Dan if only you were not in Dutchland I could arrange for you to have all our ironing. My wife hates ironing probably only a little less than me. Shirts have been known to disappear for so long I have forgotten that I had them. We have an “ironing pile” in a spare bedroom.D3 2.7 Zermatt silver (not another one)

SWMBO vaguely aware of the presence of an iron in the house. Leaves all that to me. Given our relative incomes, only seems fair (especially as she’s funding the Disco).2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze

I didn’t think there could be two of them, so you must be right.
I suppose you get used to it. She does work very long hours and I am begrudgingly allowed to do everything else, just not the washing or ironing. I wouldn’t do it right apparently and yes, everything including the socks are lined up like little soldiers. Oh and if she looses a sock or can’t marry up a pair, there Hell until she finds it. I mean she shrieks and shouts. It’s normally my fault, I managed to wear odd socks the other day and there was a full blown Spanish Inquisition.
I avoid the "odd sock" problem by buying only one type of sock and only in one colour. Then any two are a pair. Friends and relative know that if they want to gift me socks they can just take them straight to the charity shop.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill.
