It must be tempting to use it for some extreme approaches! I think that's been done in C-130 Hercs in the past.

I know. When I take the kids swimming, I watch, but I see most other parents sat there, glued to their phones, texting or playing games.
It also annoys me that people assume that I go round with my mobile surgically attached to my hand. I now have to explain, phone the house, not the mobile as it’s probably 1. Out of charge. 2. Sat somewhere in the house or car and I’ve forgotten about it. As a consequence, I don’t answer or might reply to a text within a week or so if I find it.
^^^ I bet they are actually trying not to be seen looking at children in a pool and risk being labelled a perv (not that I'm saying by not using your phone, you are!)

That’s a bit obtuse? You could counter argue, they could be taking photos of kids with their phone!

Sadly, we now have a generation of the completely innocent, many of whom are now terrified of doing anything around children, for a fear of misinterpretation or misunderstanding. I find that one of the saddest developments of the last 20 years or so
Imagine what the next generation will be like, having grown up largely having been taught to fear everyone and having little idea on how to constructively relate to strangers all by themselves.

Bit like the issue in Scotland (and elsewhere) about the teachers not allowed/advised not to put sun cream (sunscreen) on the kids in case they are seen as interfering with them, hence dismissal, or putting suncream on they may be allergic to - Same result. (no ones winning here). And the parents complaining that wee Shona or Eric (other names available) are getting burnt in the sun because the school aren't putting sun cream on them!
Me I'll blame Global warming not to be contentious>

But we’ve brought it on ourselves. People start suing schools, hospitals, paramedics, police etc etc and then we moan that they don’t do what they used to. To my minds teachers are acting in loco parentis and you have to trust them to do what a reasonable parent would do and support them to the hilt when the unforeseen happens rather than hanging them out to dry.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

It’s time we all grew up TBH.
If a child is is distress we step in and help. If some numpty question motives then we have a grown up conversation and put them right. An ex-Disco3 / FFRR owner ......
