Others are saying the top one at the back is a body harness, yet all I could find is engine harness are they the same.

No, engine harness is for the engine. The body harness is the one that runs down both sides of the body and crosses over behind the front seats so it looks like a H.
The top left green connector is the engine compartment harness (note, the engine harness is on the engine).
The top right brown connector is the cabin harness
The bottom blue harness is the dashboard harness.
On the back the green slim connector is also engine compartment.
On the back the brown slim connector is also the cabin harness.
Then there’s two at the bottom for the dash.

Entirely depends on the sums involved
A new BCM and wiring looms will be around £2.5k, plus trims (presumably 2nd hand)
Then it's a pretty huge job to replace said items
And that's all assuming it's a faulty loom/BCM that has caused the issues, and not an underlying issue in the rest of the car... My D3 Build Thread

Does that mean they give you £xx and you can decide to repair or sell as is? And it has no Write Off assigned to it? Sounds a good result of you can repair it your self. Start sourcing those parts!!

I would be very inclined to take the cash & break or sell the car.
As implied earlier there could be undiscovered, expensive, issues.
Good luck.

Insurance companies usually give you a payout.
You can then purchase the car back (around £1000 - but is scaled on what they paid out!) rather than them disposing of the car.
Even if you were to purchase it for £1000, spend £500 on some looms. you could still break the car if things didn't work out and not really make a loss ?
It's when you start spending new items on it, and things don't work out that you could make a loss.
Got to remember the car still drives ATM. So you could sell on as is
