GAPII code/ Live value Brake Pads

Can anyone interpret this 'OFF'
In the Live value from the Brake Pad warning sensor please?
See photo..
New pads and discs needed, and the dash light came on before I managed to do the job yesterday. Still alot of meat left on the pads, but the discs had deteriorated with rust due to age.
I thought I'd have a quick look with the GAP tool after I took the 'Mounting' mode off, and am assuming the 'OFF' means that the circuit is broken: Wear sensor has activated?
Many thanks.

I would have thought that Off=dash warning light off=Circuit Broken=wear indicator inactive?
I've always assumed that the normal state of the indicator was an open circuit and that the indicator only completed a circuit to earth once the pad had worn far enough to conduct the electricity?Previously:

Works the opposite way
1 complete circuit via both sensors. When the circuit is broken, the warning light comes onMy D3 Build Thread

Yes.. thanks. There's no contact to Earth like you'd think, it just breaks a circuit in the wire.. and light comes on.
Assume the 'OFF' means circuit break then. I've never changed the wires, and been through a couple of disc changes now...the black pad connection does look like its worn, so likely needs new.
Two LR branded wires on order.
