Bung not in today's post, play postponed until Monday. Don't worry, SWMBO has plenty of other projects lined up for me this weekend.... Laughing

Sorry chap Sad

The two I sent to Heine last week are also MIA Confused

To all those struggling with the cone, it's a two-handed job with the Takla too. Get your bung in good and tight then you can concentrate on getting a seal with the cone/hose on the other tailpipe. I find getting down on one knee (it's only polite if you're going to mess with its pipe) and getting a seal on the forward edge of the pipe then levering up on it to seal against the rear lip is the way forward.

I recommend that you release the FORWARD edge of the cone when your car reaches the desired height. If you release the edge nearest you... well, don't say I didn't warn you Whistle

 I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Probably my least favourite character from the LoG. Pauline (and her pens) was fantastic, however!

Nick, if your bung hasn't arrived by the end of next week let me know and I'll get another one off to you.

I found that if you push the cone on holding it towards the back, then angle it downwards it makes a good seal and inflates well. Smile

I've got stainless side tubes on my SE so advice appreciated on the correct positioning of the jack.

Did a test inflation of a jack on the right side of TazDaz's motor today (no side tubes). The jack was placed away from where side tubes would be situated so not a problem.

However on the left side there's the compressor and an exhaust box so it looks as if the side tubes would have to rest on part of the inflated jack.

Just tried the jack for the first time. At first I thought - this'll take ages to fill and lift the car. How wrong was I??

Cracking piece of kit, thanks Nessie Thumbs Up

Never having had one of these contraptions before, does anyone have advice on;

1. Does the bag need rinsed out to remove exhaust deposits?

2. With the exception of the compressor housing, is there anywhere else you should avoid puting the jack?

Cheers
