I'm having trouble finding the diff oils listed in the LR3 owner's manual. Searching this site, it seems the SAF XO and SAF Carbon Mod Plus are readily available across the pond, but I find nothing when searching google or amazon for the NA market. I also come up blank when searching the specification (such as LRN5070).
I remember seeing where someone recently posted using Royal Purple. Any other recommendations? Any better explanations or translations of the specifications? My default is Mobil1 - usually use the 75W-140 for the diffs/TC on the D1.
Thanks! '99 D1

In NA, you can get both fluids at parts.com for a reasonable price. I recently purchased 2 quarts of the SAF XO for Less than $7 per quart, not including shipping. They also have the SAF Carbon Mod Plus for about $32 per quart. On the website, enter in the LR part number for the fluids. The actual vendor is an LR dealer in Florida.

Castrol SAF XO is a fully synthetic gear oil 75/90 GL5 spec.
As long as you can find the same spec you will be ok

Yes, I saw the Royal Purple info in the other thread but wanted to see if there were any leads for the fluids listed in the manual. I know the dealers(which isn't in my city) will carry them and I recently saw where AB carries the same LR-branded bottles. I'll check out the parts.com site, too. Thanks for the info! '99 D1
