Gearbox Filter Change element of 10 Year Service

My D4 is (finally) going in for its 10 year service next week, I'm aware that part of the schedule is a gearbox filter and fluid change. I had a megaflush a few thousand miles which transformed the gearchange at the time, and it's still just as good.

Indy has said it's obviously up to me, changing it is always better but appreciates I've had the flush done 'recently'

Anybody aware how much the gearbox filter and fluid element of the service is? if it's just a couple of hundred then I think I'll go ahead as it will only do good, but if it's £500-600 ish I may reconsider.

Genuine parts alone are in the region of £250 ( fluid and filter pan) plus labour costs ,so £400-£500 would be expected,it’s really hard to do a mega flush on the 8 speed but i image yours is a 6 speed based on age , personally I would just drop the oil you have in now and refill especially if you’ve already had a flush

Thanks John, yes it is the 6 speed. It does feel hard to justify the full filter and pan change, but then I've never scrimped on servicing either. if it's £600 just for that bit though, that does feel a bit excessive! I'll get an exact price from the Indy I think
