Hi nigelthecat, I agree that's what I've always thought of handbrakes, but you hear so much about these breaking I guess I was just a bit scared to put it under any sort of strain... seems funny for a car that can offroad up a mountain that some bits seem so..delicate!
Interestingly RE: Cambelts, had prices going up to £2450+ (Listers Landrover) so suddenly the £900 I was quoted yesterday seems like a bargain

More importantly the £900 quote were the only knowledgeable ones in terms of even knowing about the oil pump issues with these cars (everyone else insists I must mean the water pump), so both the cheapest and most knowledgeable seems a nice combination
