general idea of cost of fuel for 2.7L? |
|
Hello All,
I'm getting a 2.7L D4 , and I'm trying to budget fuel cost for the month. Roughly, how much does it cost to fill up a tank (diesel), and roughly how long your tank last with mostly city driving?
Many thanks

Your petrol costs will be zero I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Filling it up with DIESEL will cost about $90 - $110.....filling up a 2.7L with PETROL will cost you much, much, much more.......draining tank...rebuild of engine.....etc etc etc

Seriously though, have fun with your new toy......you'll love it.
Re costs of fuel I imagine it's the same deal in Sydney as down here so try to fill up on a Tuesday/Wednesday and you'll probably save $10 - $30 on a tank due to the price variations....and if you try to fill up on the day before Easter begins you'll need an overdraft

Just filled mine up for $91.59 - practically got into the station with vapour in the tank. It can be hard to find a servo with both hi and low flo pumps. Unlike the old model which took both, not sure why LR had to change this.
Fuel gauge showed 423km as the estimate with the tank full and I've not done any long trips since last fill. Mostly 3-40km round trips about the city and 'burbs.
Overall consumption not bad, it hardly use's any on a long trip. At Xmas heading up to Byron the fuel bill was fine. I still think even though I drove the sport TDV8 like it should be that it used less fuel. D4 Zermatt Silver TDV6: Premium Nav, Front Park, Bi-xenon, Hi-Ice, 7 Seat, dark as legal window tint. MAXTRAX, small shovel, snatch and shackles. ARB Portable Compressor, Bushranger X-Jack.
