I really do hope the new D5 is going to keep some of its predecessor's design and not look like a larger DS. Please don't get me wrong, nothing against the DS but it's just impossible to tell all the Land Rover Models apart these days without cheating and looking at the name.

Just read that the chap who threw money all over Sepp Blatter has interrupted the VW launch of its electric car by getting on stage and offering to fit a cheat box to it.
No doubt that will be on the news later.
The only Land Rover they mention is the Evoque soft top.

So all the top motor execs from around the world have the choice of livin it large with great food, fine wine and huge expense budgets in either: Geneva, Frankfurt, Paris, New York or ... Birmingham NEC… can’t think why they don’t any more?

But, would we go if it did? Attendance at the NEC had been in decline since it first moved there. The NEC is the land of the £12 car park, the £6 sandwich and a likely £20 entry fee. Manufacturers know that car buyers don't go to these shows to buy cars anymore, information and news on the Internet has largely replaced that. With sales being so price driven (look at the amount of questions that arrive here asking about discount levels), what manufacturer is going to look to add a massive amount of cost for a way of selling cars that finally died in the UK in 2008?
Used to really enjoy them as a kiddy though, even if the supply of brochures did become very tight from about 1978 onwards! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
