Just had a load of parts delivered and I ordered GKN front drive shafts (not from AF) but the box has no markings on and there are no markings I can see on the shafts how do I know if there genuine GKN or some cheep chinese copies I bought from a LR supplier if anyone know if they should be marked with GKN and can show me where I’d be very gratefulRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

I would have expected GKN packaging at least, and a GKN marking on the shaft. But I haven't bought any so can't say for sure.
Here is some images of my GKN propshaft, and the replacement sold to me as Genuine GKN, you can see the GKN in the part number of the orginial, but the new one was obliterated with 'XXXXX's?

No GKN logo on the boot? Sometimes they grind of the markings, when sold as a cheaper brand.
Sold as genuine GKN but nothing on the box or the shafts or boots, so I’ve no way of knowing if there GKN or if there cheaper onesRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

Where did you get them ?
You could always contact GKN and ask them, i am sure they would like to know if someone is selling fakes.
Hi I got them from LR parts I did specify GKN parts the box is just plaid brown and the cv joints were just wrapped in bubble wrap they may be genuine but I’d have thought they would have been marked somewhereRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

Can't imagine GKN not wanting to advertise the fact that it is theirs, seems counter productive to me.

You could contact GKN and ask if it should have any markings, you never know, they may send you one of theirs and ask for you to send what you have to them so they can investigate.
If someone is ripping them and the public off, they need to be held to account.
