Global closing issue
Hi,
My Oct 2013 SDV6 HSE has global opening (and I thought had global closing too when I first got it (not something I used a lot)) But now I can only get global opening to work and not closing. Is this something I can reset?
The manual says to enable it in the 'set up vehicle' screen on the dash BUT there is NO such selection on my vehicle that I can find.
Or a dealer reset?
This is on a Australian vehicle (if that makes a difference?).regards
Peter

Are you holding the button for more than 3 secs?21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Yes.
As I said, I can get opening to work (you have to hold the button for 3 sec as well). And I seem to remember global closing worked initially when I first got the car and was trying out these features.regards

The only thing I can suggest is to check that each window is capable of one-touch closing via the door switch ...if one of them doesn't then reset it by holding the button in the up position for 2 seconds after closing ....once you have checked all of them then retry the global open close from the blip 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I had the same issue in my 2013 Aus/NZ new D4. You need a tool (I use the Nanocom) or have the dealer make a change to enable it in the CCF file. (RF Global Close Permitted)

Hmmm.
Vs2, I wonder if this can be enabled (if it needs to be) in the 'secret' menu functions of the satnav screen? IE holding down the Valet button for 20 seconds to access them.regards

Unfortunately that will not work either. There may be another way but I have not heard of one.Black pack, Traxide D4-1U with jumpstart, Whispbar Rack, Nanocom, 285/50r20 Cooper LTZ's, Side steps, NZ spec-no DPF.

DG, I just checked and the global opening works fine but closing doesn't. All windows close and open with one-touch via the door switch
Sv2, I can confirm that The sat-nav menu has nothing I can find that helps either.
looks like a dealer job.regards

Twas a long shot based on the thought that global closing had originally worked but vs2's reasoning looks to be the most likely resolution 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

This may be a really daft question but - Which button are you pressing and holding to Globally close your windows? Someone I know on here Had a similar issue but was pressing the unlock button for both opening and closing. Obviously the unlock button only opens the windows. it is the lock button that closes them. Said person was scratching his head like a puzzled ape for 20 minutes before he sussed it. Technology hey? I... I mean my "friend" found it by reading the manual. A desperate last resort for any man!

Nz and Aussie models have to have global closing enabled at dealers. Some idiocy to do with Aussie requirements... They are set for Aus market to not globally close. I think someone on here suggested that if plod caught you you were not allowed to be able to trap him by the neck and leave him there!!!!!Near enough 40 degrees South!!!
